Russian Railways (RZD) has completed a successful 2,400 km test run of a hydrogen fuel cell powered passenger train on the Trans-Siberian Railway between Novosibirsk and Irkutsk.

Hydrogen Infrastructure
- 3 refueling stations built along the test route

- Full commercial service planned for 2028 on 5 Siberian routes
RZD plans to order 50 hydrogen trains by 2030 at a cost of 85 billion rubles.
